The standard motor in the RAV4 is a 2.5-liter 4-cylinder engine close to 200hp. The transmission is a 6-speed automatic driving the front wheels, or you can choose all-wheel drive. A front drive 2016 RAV4 will get better than 30mpg on the highway according to EPA estimates.
For 2016 the RAV4 is available in 4 trim levels, LE, SE, XLE, and Limited. Base RAV4 LE crossovers include plenty of standard features, including rearview camera, Entune touchscreen infotainment system, Bluetooth phone and audio connectivity, AC, power everything, keyless entry, cruise control, tinted windows, tilt/telescoping steering column, and CD player. XLE models upgrade to dual-zone climate control, 17" alloy wheels, fog lights, and upgraded Entune Plus infotainment unit with satellite radio, weather, traffic and more. Options include a power liftgate and Entune Premium with navigation system and smartphone apps. The new RAV4 SE is a sporty, on-road focused model with sport-tuned suspension, sport seats, and paddle shifters. Top of the lineup is the RAV4 Limited which build on the XLE with 18” alloy wheels, proximity key, heated synthetic leather seats, and 8-way power-adjustable driver seat. The Limited also gets Toyotas Safety Sense bundle of systems, with adaptive cruise control, collision avoidance with automatic braking, and more.
